Hey folks, I’ve been dealing with foot pain for what feels like forever. It started as a mild discomfort after long walks but now it’s affecting me even when I’m just standing at work. A mate of mine reckons custom orthotics might be the answer, but I’ve also heard mixed reviews about whether they’re worth the money or just a gimmick. I don’t want to throw cash at something that won’t help in the long run. Has anyone here actually tried them? Did they make a difference in your day-to-day life, like walking, running, or even just standing for hours? Would love to hear some real experiences before I make a decision.

Mate, I was in the exact same boat last year. I’d come home from work and barely make it up the stairs without my feet screaming at me. I went through the whole cycle of trying different insoles from the chemist, stretching routines, even fancy shoes – nothing really fixed it. Finally, I bit the bullet and got proper custom orthotics. Absolute game changer. It’s not just about comfort, they actually correct how you stand and move, which makes a massive difference long-term. If you’re curious, check this out https://podiatricdoc.com.au/services/custom-orthotics/ they’ve got all the info laid out in plain English. I honestly wish I hadn’t waited so long.
