Hi everyone. I’ve been dealing with recurring roof issues for the past year — small leaks, a few cracked tiles, and after heavy rain I sometimes notice damp spots in the ceiling. Repairs help for a while, but the problems keep coming back. At this point I’m wondering if patching is just delaying the inevitable. For those who have gone through this, how do you actually know when it’s time for a full roof replacement instead of constant repairs? Is there a clear sign, or is it more about long-term cost and condition?

I went through almost the same situation last year. At first I kept repairing small sections, but over time the issues became more frequent and expensive. A professional inspection showed that the structure and materials had aged beyond simple repair. That’s usually the turning point — when fixes become temporary and the overall roof condition declines. I found useful info about roof replacement and what to check before deciding here https://mundellroofing.com.au/ It helped me understand when replacing the roof actually saves money long-term instead of constantly fixing small problems.

Thanks, that explanation really helps — sounds very familiar.
