About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Supervisor to provide effective and efficient project management services, ensuring the seamless delivery of Council’s Capital Works. If you are a driven and goal oriented professional with successful experience in project supervision, we eagerly welcome your application.

  • Lead and/or assist with the preparation of project plans and documentation as they relate to Capital Works projects
  • Review and/or create Capital Works design documentation to ensure compliance with relevant codes for Capital Works projects
  • Lead and/or assist with the preparation of project plans and documentation as they relate to Capital Works projects
  • Liaise with other internal staff, external agencies, Government Departments and the community
  • Ensure all relevant permits and approvals are obtained prior to commencement of works
  • Brief design consultants on survey, plan and specification requirements
  • Undertake tender evaluations with the assistance of the Procurement Unit
  • Prepare grant submissions, grant acquittals and preliminary estimates

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or minimum 5 years’ relevant industry experience
  • Experience in contractor supervision and management
  • Excellent ability to manage project budgets and resources
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, negotiating and report writing skills
  • Good understanding of relevant I.T applications
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to timeframes
  • A current, valid Victorian driver’s license
