I have a problem that is driving me crazy and I hope someone can help me. I own a 2016 Lincoln Navigator that I bought used about a year ago. It is a big car but I love how smooth it rides. However, for the past two months, I have noticed that the left rear side of the car sits lower than the right side when the car is parked overnight. In the morning, I start the engine and hear the air compressor run for a minute, and then the car levels out and drives fine. But every morning, the same thing happens. The left side is low again. I took it to a regular garage and the mechanic said I need a new air strut and quoted me 4,500 dirhams. That is a lot of money for me right now. I’m not sure if his diagnosis is correct because he didn’t do any real testing. He just looked and guessed. I found a place that does Lincoln vehicle maintenance Abu Dhabi and I want to take it there for a second opinion. Has anyone else had this problem with their Navigator or any Lincoln with air suspension? What was the actual problem? Was it the air strut, or could it be something smaller like a leaking air line or a bad height sensor? I don’t want to spend 4,500 dirhams if the real fix is much cheaper. Also, is it safe to keep driving the car like this? The car drives fine once it levels out. But I worry that the air compressor is working too hard and might fail, which would be even more expensive. Please share your experiences if you have dealt with this. I would be very thankful for any honest advice. I just want my car to be normal again without spending a fortune.
