mick fanning shark attack

Australian surfer Mick Fanning was taking part in the World Surf League at Jefferies Bay, South Africa when he was attacked by a shark. Dead set! No jokes!

Fanning said he shielded himself with his surfboard while punching the shark in the back in an attempt to make it swim away, which it did.

The rest of the days surf competition was cancelled

Have you ever seen a shark attack while in Australia? I remember one hearing of a shark circling a girl in Byron Bay one summer, she was holding onto a ocean marker for dear life. One of the locals swam out and rescued her. Talk of the town and the backpackers inn.
